[SFE] The Mirror Eye

A small gift like story for HectorNY I wanted to do.

It was night at Alphabase, the activities within started to get more and more soft around. More the Starfox Junior Division. The night had provided a nice and warmth welcome at all inhabitants within the place, and many others who happened to pass by to help within thanks at the advanced technology displayed at the workshop and the vehicle bay. There are a few more who happened to be inside with the new discoveries both Fox and Krystal had found through many months and few weeks. More things started to happen around Earth, but that would never impede nor stop Starfox Earth to discover all mysteries and resolved them in time. Or defeat enemies that messed with other members from the base and got punished for such actions. Or just find new companions while on the move in certain dungeons that started to appear more often in different locations. Making more and more the exploration to discover what might be hidden.

However, as all good things there are a few bad that just happen to exist around the world and the dimensions alike. And more with one that existed after the Cold War. A being so terrible it's name had been forgotten by good measures. All happened at he Dyatlov's route where many climbers happeend to lost their life due experiments with radiation on the zone. It was a peculiar phenomenon that impacted many men and creatures alike. However, there was one who was within the plot. An anthro owl-like elemental called FeuerUhu.
He had discovered many experiments thanks at the powers of fire he used but more available within radiation in certain zones within Russia. He observed the right and positive reaction of the human's behavior for the test of several substances he might use to create a new world where chaos and destruction might the thing the ancient-days leader of Russia, Stalin wanted to obtain. However, as being an elemental, FeuerUhu was accused of betray and treason at the natural behaviors. He cared less as others elementals like him pointed at the schemes that started to cause much death while time proceeds its own course.

It was a tantrum he had while mix his fire powers with the substances in development against a small armada of men and women who marched away from a compromised land due war. He attacked them with the new mixture he could mix with his own elemental power... However, those men and women were refugees who were seeking for a den to stay and wait until war gets over... Many were having their babies over their arms and others were pregnant. Yet, they got attacked by surprise by FeuerUhu's stubborn experiment that was a success but costs dearly.

The other elementals couldn't but punish him for such actions they had pressenced. In a way, they decided to jail him inside a special dimension that he can turn king and slave of the same. The Mirror Dimension.
FeuerUhu was trapped within walls made entirely of mirrors and he can only observe through reflections made by other materials around the world or around some specific place. Yet, he grew tired and crazy for spend all his life as eternal-life like elemental within. Always develop a psychopatic personality with many reasons to use people and creatures to free himself from the clutches of the Mirror Dimension. But couldn't find a way to do it so under his own.
He started to obtain a dreadful envy towards those who exist outside the dimension he is trapped. Yet, he had found a dwelling inside Alphabase's reflective items. Even use the cornea of the eyes, the brillance of gems and certain items that can produce a natural reflection... And thus, he existed within but trying to obtain information he might use when got free from the place. But he had tried many things for many years without success. He only need a small miracle... But there would be none.


However, things can change... And more when trying to figure it out new items that appear within Alphabase.


It was in the night that Keeta and Marcus were looking for a new item they obtained from Lily who was testing a new product she mentioned to show the dimensions that are connected at theirs. Being possible to go through all those verses where many of the actual members of Starfox Earth came from... It was a great discoverment they might use for their own discoveries. And possible adventures.

"Keeta, are you sure it is the right time to test it?" Marcus asked at his sister who was preparing herself for the experience.

"I know we should be on our beds but I wanted to discover what this thing shall show at us" Keeta said with a big smile "Besdies, maybe we can find something to share within Alphabase"

"Didn't we had discovered a few things?" Marcus scratches his chin trying to remember a few things both had discovered recently or in small time lapses in the past.

"Come on Marcus. Don't tell me you are scared?" Keeta mentioned at her brother

"Hey! I am not scared. I am just saying we don't have to prove nothing to our parents nor the members we can discover interesting things too" Marcus crossed his arms as argue for such behavior of his sister.

"Come on. Don't be a party-pooper" Keeta said

"Hush! Who taught you that language?" Marcus gets a bit angry

"Sorry. But you are starting to be a bit boring" Keeta couldn't but say it.

"Okay, okay. I going to do it. But if something gets awful wrong, it's your fault" Marcus sighed in frustration

"Of course, it is going to be my fault... Can you hurry up?" Keeta said a bit careless. It is not surprising both were having such ideas, after all, they are only children.

Keeta pointed the small item at a small portion of the room both were sharing at the moment of the experiment. Marcus looked the machine works as make small tweaking noises until it fires a beam of light and impacts over the wall. In small instances, a portal opens. But showing nothing but white on the inside.

"What happened?" Keeta asked at Marcus

"Why you ask me? You fired that thing. Perhaps it is showing us a place that is surrounded by white" Marcus said by rolling his eyes

"Sheesh. You surely are a boring one" Keeta said while walk at the portal

"Keeta. watch out!" Marcus approaches next to her "We don't know where this portal is going to lead us"

"And we cannot awake the others, or any member. Or even our father and mother" Keeta responds "First attempt and the portal is totally white" Keeta sighed hard before look at the item again. "Okay, you win"

"Thanks" Marcus giggles little "Now, close it"

"Okay..." Keeta pressed a button but it didn't worked out. Keeta pressed it in lapses on time but it didn't work.

"And...?" Marcus frowned

"Don't look at me. The item might got a malfunction" Keeta said at him.

"Excuses" Marcus sighs

"Shut up! If you are so clever, resolve it"

"It was your fault. Resolve it under your own"

Both started to discuss until the item vibrates violently. Keeta ungrabbed it as it clashes on the floor. The machine fires a laser towards both brother and sister, and both get suck within the portal as it closes. And such the item explodes.


"Keeta...? Keeta!?" Marcus awoke first by seeing the place. He looked at a chamber where many things are coloured white and silver. Like the entire place was a mirror-house like place where everything is made to be a mirror. "Keeta! Where are you?"

Marcus started to get nervous as he didn't find his sister around the place. He looked around at the place until find a door with many mirrors displayed over it. He looked the furniture with interesting sight but he was more focused to find his sister. The whiteness makes quite difficult find the knob but thanks at his silhouette it was rather simple. As the way his reflection was displayed over the mirror surface. He put his hand over the spherical mirror knob to open the door wide open. A bright of light impacted on his eyes before he could see the place with more carefulness.

It was a big room. As a castle with many flags covered in silver material, the floor made with the same material or a much peculiar metal like, the furniture around looked as mirrors thanks at the same material. There is even glass and things made of crystal and jewels showing more reflections. It was an interesting place.

"Who are you?" the voice of someone startled the fox who looked at the source until see the shadow of an owl coming downstairs from one section he didn't looked before...Marcus tried to not find himself scared for the sudden. "You are not from here, are you?"

"N-No. I am not" Marcus was honest with the mysterious character that jumped off the stairs to show as a version of an owl. But with orange feathers and cyan looking eyes. Wearing a white uniform much like as those the guards of England wear all the time. However, without the hat-helmet and any weapon around. "Who are you?"

"The name's FeuerUhu. I am the dweller of this dimension. The only one to be honest" the owl presented

"What happened? Marcus asked in curiosity

"The people here used to live and have their own scheludes within the castle. However, a terrible diesase affected most of them. Some died before obtain the thirties. And those who were already elders died due have no generation left to take their place" FeuerUhu explained at the young fox "I am the last. But I ran lucky to be immune to the sickness... But I used to be a chancellor. Nowadays, I take small trips around the castle"

"Oh my!" Marcus was astonished "And you didn't asked for help?"

"How could I? The Mirror Dimension, the place you are right now, has no door to access or leave. It is a prision-like dimension that was constructed by the king in charge... But as I said, I am the only one here. The King died time ago. And I still trying to find a way out"

"Why the king might do something like that?" Marcus asked

"The King was very humble and always-received at many strangers within his castle and the Dimension he ruled once, but enemies, thugs and many evil people started to steal from here; and everything goes nuts when the daughter of the king got attacked by one of these strangers... Scared for almost lose his next generation, the King decided to jail us here just to secure the protection of his lineage... But as you can see, there is no soul around but me" Feuer explained at Marcus.

"Oh! That's terrible!" Marcus gulps for such dark side of the king who goes crazy and quarantines all his kingdom away. Yet his thoughts kicked in again "Pardon, Mr. FeuerUhu..."

"Feuer is fine" Feuer smiles at him

"Oh, sorry. Mr. Feuer, had you seen an orange-fur vixen around here too? It is my sister" Marcus mentioned at the owl who closed his eyes by few moments to then see at him "We got separated when she opens a portal...perhaps the one I am here wih you"

"Wait...! Did you said portal?" Feuer mentions "A portal where you enter in here!?"

"Yes, but it was an accident to be honest" Marcus scratches his head but the emotion of the owl was evident, he was enthusiasm to know there was a way outside the dimension.

"Oh man! Many years trapped in here and you came here by using a portal!? Oh! It is must be luck. A lucky day!!" Feuer sang in happyness "Tell me, where's the portal?"

"I don't know. We got sucked inside... And the item that made them didn't appear next to me when awake..." Marcus said before start to move around; but that startles the owl who used his talon-feet to run next to him. Marcus had to step away from him. The owl didn't wanted to startle him.

"Look. I was trapped in here many time. I couldn't go anywhere. A chancellor with no job and no one to serve. And to be honest, I don't want to die in here. This dimension had turned into a prision where I cannot escape. Please, I'll give you everything you want but please, let me be with you. I want to get off from here. Do me that favor, and I'll help you in find your sister" Feuer was desperate to get off the dimension he is being trapped. Kneeling at him "I beg at you"

"Okay... But please stand up!" Marcus said a bit in shame. IT was the first time he had ran into something serious of such maginitude. He might resolve a murder with the rest of the group, but this is something different than that mission like event that they happen to be. "First thing, I want to know where I am exactly"

"You are in the main lobby. The place to receive the king after going downstairs from the living room he used to rest. And where knights used to celebrate honor welcomes with him guiding us. Servants passing one section to another, delivering items, dishes and other scheludes already given by our Majesty" Feuer said at Marcus while making a small gentlemen's bow towards the stairs.

"Okay then. How many rooms have this castle?" Marcus asked next

"Fifty Eight. Counting the lobby" Feuer was quick on his answer.

"F-Fifty Eight!?" Marcus got amazed. He had heard about castles with absurd number of rooms and secret passages but this was a real one he ended by following Keeta. Surely it wasn't the adventure he wasn't planned to have; nor have the option but to look after his sister who ended away from him. And perhaps she is lost within the Mirror Dimension too. "Everything looks the same due the mirror"

"These mirrors have a purpose. The king had a great knowledge thanks at the mirrors that are displayed all over the walls, furnitures and some areas were the floor and ceiling tiles were changed; even there is a small garden with many roses crystal made. The favourite garden of our Majesty" Feuer explained while moving around and passing a hallway, but waiting Marcus to stay near while walk foward "The mirrors connect to different portals and dimensions"

"Like the item we used before" Marcus said

"Yes, but in order to see what lies in the other dimension or place, the same must need an item that reflects or has a natural reflection target. Or even a mirror no matter the size, as long as it shows the other side it's enough" Feuer gave the tour at the blue-fur fox. Looking small chambers with boxes and other furnitures inside but no sign of Keeta anywhere. "The King wanted to know more about other information coming from other dimensions and worlds' places. Information that was kept away from the original dwellers of such. Anything that can offer at our king enough knowledge and then practices. IT was quite a cute and interesting routine he likes to do. Show us the new information he had gathered to us. Some were marvelous that makes us clap for his curiosity and well-done actions. And few were the times he failed but never gave up"

"But that ended when that stranger attacked the king's daughter..." Marcus finished

"Sadly" Feuer affirms "The ending of his lineage ended as soon as his twisted version of overprotection overwhelms him"

"That's insane" Marcus added

"The only thing we could do is assist at our king's assembles and small talkings. Many were desperate to escape from this place, many break their own heads and necks trying to find a possible exit... In the form of a quick death. But their corpses had to been buried in the one beautiful garden of the King... And ironically, the same place the King loved was the last he remains" Feuer explained once more the situation

"What a life you had" Marcus couldn't but imagine that situation the owl had to suffer for many years within the Mirror Dimension, yet he tried to find no misplaced words while on the search of Keeta. He looked on the problems Feuer had to suffer when all inhabitants died while remained as the only soul inside. He wanted to help him but without an access to escape the mission to accomplish his promise was far to be done.

"Yeah... However, I had seen a world beyond the reflections our Majesty used to see while on his knowledge discoverments. A world with many possibilities and many dimensions connected through different ways. I would love to go through such world" Feuer smiles while walking towards some rooms upstairs while the fox is not looking at him "You know? A world with many secrets like that golden throne and the bigger jewel like emerald"

Marcus had to figure it out under his own the descriptions of those items described by Feuer. He looked on him surprised as he had already seen through the reflection the dimension he is talking.
"You had seen my dimension?"

"Do you come from that dimension? Such coincidence!!" Feuer got surprised "Perhaps it is destiny I found you and you come inside this dimension. I hope you can keep that promise of yours"

"Sure... But we must find Keeta first" Marcus concludes as something odd is going on with the owl, but couldn't find the enough clues to point at him as a threat or as a dweller who wants to escape from the dimension. He acted friendly but it seems he hides more things than those he had already explained. Either way, he continues foward until see a great window at the upper level. And see tha garden of glass made roses distributed in a long section within a garden with more mirrors acting as fences and trenches to channel the liquid-like water to sustain the beauty on the roses.

Marcus looked beyond the glass until see a familiar figure that is travelling through the glass paradise.

"I find her!!" Marcus said while looking outside the window, there was no doubt. Keeta was there. "How can I go there!?"

Feuer looked behind the window and looked at the orange-fur vixen like sister of the male fox he is accompaining. He clapped his hands on the thin-glass window as the panels disappeared to reveal a great entrance-like at Marcus. The owl walked towards the entrance and stepped off the limits. But he didn't fall but hold by a mirror stair that appeared benath him.
He looked on Marcus who followed him, and discover the stair being created while stepping down. He continued until reach the garden's level.

"Keeta!!" Marcus mentioned at her sister who was lost and very confused yet by heard and saw her brother, she ran next to him.

"Marcus!!" Keeta screamed back while moving on the field of roses.

Both brother and sister embraced themselves after got reunited at last.
"I thought I would never see you again" Marcus said

"I am so sorry Marcus, you was right! Keeta mentions back with tears on her eyes "I thought I was lost in this world forever"

"Do not worry. At least we are together again" Marcus said, while see Feuer walking towards them. "But we must find our way out from here, also help him get off too"

"And who's he?" Keeta asked

"His name is FeuerUhu. It was a chancellor within the Mirror Dimension, the place we are already, but things happened inside and he remains as the last survivor from the place" Marcus gave a quick introduction to Feuer who approached to kneel at Keeta.

"Nice you meet you, young one. I assume you are the sister of Marcus" going handsome at her.

"The pleasure is mine" Keeta accepted his presentation. Feuer got up again by looking both before him. "However, the machine I don't have it"

"Hmm... That's a problem" Marcus mentioned back with great concern "And I don't know if this dimension is like those were a day is something else"

"Do not worry for that. the Mirror Dimension's time is common. A day is a day. Wherever you came from" Feuer mentions with a small smile from his beak.
"But here seconds are actually hours"

"That means thirty seconds in our world are thirty hours in here" Marcus analyze that measure of time "So, that means when we return back it would not had passed much time after this little mistake"

"Exactly" Feuer nods at them. "You are quite smart. It reminded me at those times when the King received strangers before close himself and us inside this dimension"

"The King do what?" Keeta looked on Marcus

"I didn't want to believe it but that means there are many dimension with their own rules and their own mistakes in life. Being the Mirrod Dmension the second option" Marcus sighed while look on his sister back. "I promised him to pick him off this dimension by looking for you through the ancient castle of his King"

"It would be more than appreciated if you help me out from here. Please. If that doesn't bother you, I want to not be another death within" Feuer repeated himself again.

"We'll help you out from here. When we find a way to escape from this place" Keeta acknowledged but started to think in the problem to not know how to return back. "And I don't know if Satrina will be available for the moment, after all, she is a dimensional traveller. So she can give us the boost back"

Marcus thought many things. Until remember the exact words of Feuer about the king's doings in open a breach from strangers, and then close it. If they find the magic or spell, or even enchant the once King performed that might be their way off. However, Feuer didn't said a word about that at respect. Perhaps it was an idea that had passed on his mind as well. After all, he mentioned he had tried EVERYTHING to escape but without success.
Marcus then snaps his fingers.

"You said you have seen our world through reflections..." Marcus said at Feuer

"Practically" Feuer shrugs but in positive reaction but unknowing his point

"It is possible to see through a reflection the place where the item Keeta and I used to be here, am I right?" Marcus continued

"As long as there is a reflective item around the place your item is, it's possible" Feuer responds back

"The room where we were. Has something that can act as a mirror?" Keeta asked at Marcus as remember they were in the night darkness at those moments.

"Perhaps it has" Marcus said.


In the room it used to be many glass vases displayed within a cupboard. They were used for special celebrations like Thanksgiving or Christmas. The vases has a small mirror-like effect due its crystal surface. Marcus believes the vases might be helpful to escape from the Mirror Dimension. He just hoped his idea didn't go nuts.
"Can you show us the mirrors you used to see through our dimension?"

"Sure" Feuer smiles at them "Just follow me"


They returned back at the castle by passing through upstairs and superior levels with many rooms with giant bedrooms displayed with massive beds within and other furnitures too.
Feuer walked around until find a decorative room with many trophies and small drawings of a king with his daughter aside. It must be the king Feuer talked many time when met Marcus. The owl looked at a painting to see a city through it. Marcus and Keeta discovered the place as the local city his father and mother use to walk sometimes there.

In another section where there is a Ming-vase like mirror, the owl looked through to see a small forest section with many trees, a river flowing by and many zones with rocks displayed. Marcus and Keeta discovered it is the place many Pokemon and were many magical creatures like fairies and Scampixies.

The owl looked on a shelf with many books in place but each one show a different angle from what it seems a big structure like a temple in the desert, Keeta recognized as the place she discovered while on one of the aircrafts doing exploration on her own.
Feuer took a moment to look through a rug like mirror to see an entire fortified base like hangar. Marcus and Keeta looked at the Alphabase with great astonish and surprise. The Mirror Dimension might be used as neat way to find more things related at their own world and other ones via the mirrors displayed; and a fine espionage base too. Just have to talk it better with their parents and the entire personal and members too.

"Found it" Feuer mentioned at the brother and sister. As he picked up a small plate where a teapot was to show the place both were a few instances before. And see the item broke on the floor. "What is next?"

"It is possible to attract things within reflection or use the reflected item to use?" Marcus said at the owl who closed his eyes and kept them closed for a while. Before open them again.

"Surely you are the most clever boy I had ever met" Feuer smiles at him "Yet, I have no idea if this might work. The reflection only gives an angle of the item, I need to observe it in all its extension to make a valid copy of it within the Mirror Dimension"

THEN the bomb came. Things cannot be that easy. It was worth the shot but the luck was not on their side. However, someone enter the room.


Keeta and Marcus got delighed to see one of the Pleadies inside.

Jinda to be exactly.


"Oh! Jinda!! Thanks goodness!" Keeta whooped in enthusiasm "Jinda!! Jinda, can you hear us!?" however, the girl didn't looked where Keeta was looking at the room as she picked the item and look the damage. "Why is not looking at me? I am not screaming loud?" Keeta looked on Feuer

"The Mirror Dimension only gives you visibility but you cannot communicate back" Feuer said "You can see but not hear nor talk through"

"Oh man! It seems if we going to use this Dimension we have to improve many things" Marcus said that loud.

"Use this dimension... What are you thinking boy?" Feuer frowned at him

"I thought we can use this place as a magical observation like outpost place" Marcus said

"Hmm. You know... I would give you the entire permission to do anything you want within this dimension as long as I get out of here and never heard about it again. I am tired to live in here doing absolutely nothing but fight to not die and make this place a true mausoleum" Feuer sighed before explode in anger. The despair on him was real, his feathers lit in fire as his eyes shone fierce like sunrays. "Apologies. I didn't wanted to startle you" Feuer calms himself.

"We comprehend" Keeta mentioned "I would rather be like you if I stayed trapped in here for many time on my own"

"Thanks" Feuer said in relief, until tilt his head at the right by looking something odd "Why that girl has the item in front the vase?"

Marcus and Keeta looked at the teapot's plate again. Jinda has the item repaired after put the pieces back together yet point the same at them.

"I think she is going to open us a portal" Marcus said.

Jinda pressed the main button of the item and fires a beam of light that not only pierced the plate both brother and sister were looking at, but the beam impacts on a wall behind Feuer. Two portals were formed in the instance.

"Marcus? Keeta?" the voice of Jinda sounded on the portal where the plate was but already covered by a spiral of light and magic.

"Jinda, is that you?" Marcus yelled back

"Thank goodness you are safe" Jinda mentioned "I need you to come here, I cannot hold the portal much longer with my powers, you have to cross"

"Alright" Keeta said, while looking on Marcus, until see Feuer looking the extra portal on the wall. And test it. The sensation of energies flowing by was very new for him; yet by looking behind it gives him the joy he was looking for. "It seems we kept our promise"

"Sure you did" Feuer said before look on both "Thank you" and without more words to say, he jumped within the portal before this closes.

Keeta and Marcus did the same thing, until they were received by Jinda who used her own powers to keep the portal open before closed it.

"What were you thinking by going into a dimension like that?" Jinda berates on them

"Sorry, we wanted to make an adventure of our own... But we were not prepared" Keeta said "It was my fault, Marcus had not. I just pushed him to do it"

"Either way, you are safe. And that's enough to make me happy" Jinda smiles at them. "Besides, I could detect you thanks at the energies within that vase-like door... Yet I didn't know you possess Fire attributes"

"We hadn't" Marcus corrects

"So, who was the one I pressenced?" Jinda got confused

"Someone who was trapped inside with us. A dweller who was eager to escape... We'll tell you more in the morning" Marcus said. Jinda acknowledged, anything related at the place both were trapped can be used for Starfox Earth and investigated as well. And even know more about the dweller.
